A couple weeks ago, I posted a blog discussing my thoughts on paid reviews in which I shared with you a handful of sites where you can get your blog reviewed for free. If you missed it, I recommend that you go back and read it at Why Pay for Reviews When You Can Get Them Free. I took advantage of all of these free services, and found that the quality and length of each review varied drastically from a few lines to a full blown, in depth analysis. Some reviews were completed within days, while others are still awaiting their turn in the queue. Regardless, this is free publicity and exposure, so you have nothing to loose, but everything to gain. Not only will you build some strong backlinks from trusted authorities, but you may also get a boost in traffic or even gain some new RSS subscribers.

Of all the reviewers, I liked the one done by PR3 site Web-Reviewers.com the most which was based on my blog’s content and design using their 5 star rating system. The review offered extensive and honest constructive criticism, and it appears that they actually took the time to look around my blog before providing me with some meaningful feedback instead of giving some generic comments. Overall, I received a pretty good report card, scoring a solid 4 stars across the board. Here’s the full review:

Internet Marketing (or IM for short) is one of the most dominant subjects for bloggers to talk about. There are blog super stars like ShoeMoney.com and JohnChow.com and thousands of other lesser known IM bloggers. Most IM bloggers write as if they are experts when it is clear they are not. Enter DiariesofaBlogger.com. Content ( )
DiariesofaBlogger.com is a blog dedicated to following Anthony Dinh’s quest to master Internet Marketing. Anthony has obviously been inspired by other IM blogs such as JohnChow.com and it resembles MixedMarketArts.com quite a bit in type of content. What makes this blog stand out from the crowd is its fresh new outlook. It is a very new blog, its first post was in April of 2008. Being less than 2 months old and have such quality content already is rare. I am excited to watch this site grow and see what Anthony can do with DiariesofaBlogger.com. Normally as site with this amount of content would only get 3 stars, but I upped it to 4 based on its age and potential! Screen Shot

DiariesofaBlogger.com has a very professional, web2.0 feel to it. It is branded very well and the addition of the new mascot is very helpful. I found the site to be easy to navigate. However, DiariesofaBlogger.com suffers from one of the same problems that most Internet Marketing blogs suffer from. Advertising overload. The goal of the blog is to make money, so advertising is expected, but there is quite a bit of it, and this takes away from the overall experience! Blog Building Tip: One of the most import aspects of building a blog is to make sure your readers come back. The most effective way of doing so is providing an RSS feed and making it easy to subscribe. DiariesofaBlogger.com is an example of this. On this blog it is very easy to subscribe via an RSS reader or by email! Conclusion DiariesofaBlogger.com is an IM blog with a ton of potential. Anthony Dinh has already done a great job with design, branding, and content.
Pros: Decent content, great potential. Cons: Small design flaws, very new. DiariesofaBlogger.com - A Newbie’s Journey to Making Money Online
If you opt to not take advantage of all of these free site reviews, I would recommend that you use the services offered by Web-Reviewers.com at the least. The tips that they provide on the shortcomings of your site and how to improve them will be invaluable.
