anthonydinhAbout a month ago, i came across this article on JohnChow.com which included a clip of his interview on Breakfast Television with host, Simi Sara.  During the interview, John disclosed that he makes 30k/month by blogging a few times a day…whaaaa?  OK, now this really got my attention.  The video immediately peaked my interest, so I did a little poking around on his blog and found this article which breaks down his earnings for March 2008 and wow, I was totally blown away!

Inspired, I purchased my domain DiariesOfABlogger.com a week later and within days, I had downloaded and installed the newly released version of Wordpress  2.5.  The installation itself was very quick and simple, even a novice could do it.  The next couple weeks, however, would be spent on customizing my blog by installing various plugins and hacking the Wordpress scripts until everything was just right, and finally, viola!…it was alive…DiariesOfABlogger.com was born.

There it was, I had officially embarked on my journey to making money online, and I welcome you to join me.  Along the way, i will be posting my progress and learning experiences for all to read.  Hopefully, you will find some of the information on this site to be useful as you begin your own blogging endeavors, and hopefully you will avoid the same pitfalls that I encountered by learning from the mistakes that I’ve made. 

My short-term goal is to achieve 100 pageviews/day, and to eventually make $100 a month from blogging.  I know it may not seem like much, but hey, you have to learn to crawl before you can walk right?   Hopefully, I will achieve even just a fraction of Mr. Chow’s success and that this will be a great learning experience.  If all fails, at least I will know that I tried my best, and I won’t have to ever wonder…what if?  OK, here goes nothing, wish me LUCK!
